Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to join our team at Dessert Holdings Inc. in London, Ontario. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for executing various HR initiatives and supporting day-to-day plant HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement employee relations plans, providing guidance and best practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders to foster a culture consistent with DH values.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively execute employee communication channels.
  • Manage and improve target setting processes and ongoing performance reviews.
  • Support the recruitment of salaried professional employees in collaboration with the Recruiting Team.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to identify employee training and development needs, and implement training programs to address organizational needs.
  • Manage worker's compensation claims with TeksMed and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain records to ensure regulatory compliance and internal process management.
  • Coach supervisors and team leads on progressive discipline and development planning.
  • Support the HR Director with staffing and headcount updates, gathering market competitive salary data, and executing the plant safety strategy.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, management, human resources, or a related discipline.
  • Human resources certification, CHRP or similar designation is an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, UKG (Previously Ultimate Pro and Kronos) HRIS.
  • HR experience in a Union environment.
