Job Title: HR Business Partner I

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at McCormick Canada. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a strategic role in supporting the organization's short and long-range goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation and direction to client groups to establish relevant functional goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor employees to support consistent adoption and adherence of programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and define employee engagement opportunities and provide input into departmental structure and design.
  • Act as the horizontal process owner to develop, implement, and administer HR programs, policies, procedures, and practices consistently across client groups.
  • Drive HR process improvement, special projects, and effective change management programs/initiatives from idea through implementation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Employee Relations matters, providing coaching, guidance, and support to leadership in employee relations matters.
  • Support internal and external hourly recruitment activities, including providing support to the Operations Team and facilitating HR orientation for all new hires.
  • Manage several HR programs, including overseeing Rewards & Recognition Programs, facilitating Performance Management Process, and leading other HR program initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
  • CHRL designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of related progressive HR experience.
  • Employee relations and investigation experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and people, and organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong personal leadership and business sense.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong ethical behavior and professional maturity.
