The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

The Senior Legal Contract Manager will be responsible for reviewing and managing contractual documents, identifying risk, and providing recommendations to mitigate potential issues. This role will also involve drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Draft, structure, and implement contractual documents based on internal processes.
  • Conduct legal research and produce opinions on an as-required basis.
  • Negotiate key legal terms and conditions with customers.
  • Liaise with Procurement, Finance, and other departments to ensure execution of prime contract terms and conditions.
  • Continuously review contracts regarding financial, legal, and technical obligations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Law degree (LLB or JD) and current membership in a provincial bar association.
  • At least five years of experience practicing commercial law for a law firm, government, or corporation.
  • Working knowledge of government procurement policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with hardware, software, technology, or technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List.
