Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement program scope and objectives based on business needs and initiatives.
  • Lead the digitization of fleet management and support the design, implementation, and optimization of business processes and systems.
  • Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision-making.
  • Provide work direction and general program management oversight to ensure that the program meets regional fleet safety compliance.
  • Manage legislative requirements related to commercial fleets, including the National Safety Code, the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, the Alberta Traffic Safety Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures for the efficient management of fleet vehicles and equipment and software systems.
  • Oversee, direct, and participate in the development and administration of the assigned program annual budget; participate in the forecast of funds needed; perform cost-analysis, authorize and monitor expenditures, and implement adjustments.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in fleet program development, strategic consulting, and fleet-related IT solutions.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills for effective relationship-building with various internal and external partners.
  • Advanced leadership skills to drive change and promote a culture of responsibility and quality throughout the organization.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address critical and high-impact issues.
  • Advanced financial acumen to allow for effective planning, management, and expenditure of operational and capital costs.
  • Solid technical proficiency coupled with experience in data management, analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Proficient communicator who can present well and influence others when appropriate.
  • Able to understand workplace-based problems and analyze them to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Capable planner who can organize the resources at their disposal to achieve the best results.
  • Able to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft 365 Suite).
  • Skilled negotiator – knows the products and vendors well enough to negotiate favorable terms and prices.
