About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Catastrophe Field Adjuster to join our Property Claims team at Aviva Canada. As a Catastrophe Field Adjuster, you will play a critical role in helping our customers recover from severe weather events and other disasters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site and virtual inspections of personal and commercial claims to assess damages and determine the scope of repairs.
  • Write accurate and detailed repair estimates to settle claims in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile and validate vendor estimates to ensure price and scope are appropriate.
  • Investigate claims by gathering facts and information from insureds, third parties, witnesses, and lawyers.
  • Review policy, technical reports, and case law to make informed decisions on coverage and claim value.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and keep related parties informed of claim status.
  • Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to insureds, vendors, and other insurance companies.
  • Support the business as needed when not deployed on a catastrophe response.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Field Adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial Lines claims.
  • Strong background in Property Insurance.
  • Ability to scope damages and prepare estimates for repairs.
  • Good PC skills and adaptability with new technology.
  • Valid driver's license.
