About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Property Claims Adjuster to join our Field Claims team at Aviva Canada. As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling personal and commercial claims, conducting site inspections, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site and virtual inspections of claims to assess damages and determine repair estimates.
- Review and validate vendor estimates to ensure accuracy and fairness.
- Investigate claims by gathering information from insureds, third parties, and witnesses.
- Make decisions on coverage, value of the claim, and negotiate/settle claims accordingly.
- Provide exceptional customer service and keep related parties informed of claim status.
- Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to insureds, vendors, and other insurance companies.
- Assist during Catastrophic events in Canada.
- Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers, and individuals or companies with an interest in claim settlement.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Field Adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial Lines claims.
- Strong background in Property Insurance.
- Ability to scope damages and prepare repair estimates.
- Good PC skills and adaptability with new technology.
- Valid driver's license.
