Job Title: Parts Counter Clerk
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Parts Counter Clerk to join our team at Cummings Small Engine Service. As a Parts Counter Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls and relay messages to customers and colleagues
- Clean and maintain the office, supply area, or warehouse
- Conduct sales calls and provide advice on the use and appropriateness of goods or parts
- Handle cash transactions and process incoming requisitions
- Identify, label, and catalogue items received
- Issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use
- Maintain records on the inventory control system
- Prepare and track work orders
- Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies
- Process incoming requisitions and receive, unpack, and sort incoming parts, supplies, and materials
- Sell spare and replacement parts
- Ship, deliver, or pick up parts, products, or equipment
- Store items in the warehouse, tool room, or supply area
Requirements:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
