About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Downtown Dental Care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, including explaining procedures and obtaining medical histories.
  • Instrumentation and Supplies: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, and maintain and order supplies as needed.
  • Reception and Clerical Duties: Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling and confirming appointments, and recording dental procedures performed on patients.
  • Radiology and Imaging: Take and develop X-rays, and take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients concerning oral hygiene, and polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant.
  • Screening Questions: Ask screening questions to ensure patients are eligible for treatment, including questions about medical history, allergies, and previous dental experiences.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a dental practice.
  • Experience: Will train.
