About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Downtown Dental Care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
  • Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Supply Management: Order dental and office supplies, ensuring we have the necessary materials to provide excellent patient care.
  • Reception and Clerical Duties: Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling and confirming appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Instrument Sterilization: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients concerning oral hygiene, providing personalized guidance and support.
  • Dental Procedures: Assist dentists with dental procedures, including polishing teeth and clinical crowns, and applying fluoride and sealant.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, such as taking and developing X-rays, and recording dental procedures performed on patients.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; willingness to train and learn.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a dental setting is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
