About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at West Park Dental Clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
    • Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental procedures.
  • Supply Management
    • Order dental and office supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
    • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials for use during procedures.
  • Administrative Support
    • Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
    • Record dental procedures performed on patients and maintain accurate records.
  • Instrument Maintenance
    • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Patient Education
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
  • Additional Duties
    • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.
    • Take and develop X-rays as required.
    • Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience
    • Experience in a dental setting is an asset, but not required.
