Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Emergency Management Analyst to join our team at Calian Group Ltd. This role will play a key technical role in the performance of projects within the Calian Nuclear division, specifically with our Emergency Preparedness team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the planning process for large-scale emergency exercises by developing realistic scenarios and injects.
  2. Provide presentations to stakeholders throughout the exercise design process.
  3. Contribute to scientific and technical project work for Calian Nuclear's clients.
  4. Develop high-quality technical reports and documents.
  5. Support Project Managers as required, including reporting to clients and reviewing project team member work.
  6. Ensure all project deliverables meet Calian Nuclear's Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
  7. Participate in conducting technical analyses as part of a project team.
Requirements
  1. A degree in Emergency Management, Engineering, or Science, with a specialization in Physics, Nuclear, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Mathematical streams.
  2. 3-5+ years experience in Emergency Management/Preparedness or Disaster Management.
  3. Experience in developing Emergency Response plans and Procedures.
  4. Emergency Preparedness experience within the Nuclear industry is an asset.
  5. Ability to think independently and provide insight and solutions to complex problems.
  6. Strong communication skills, including presentation and facilitation to large groups.
  7. Ability to adapt to changing project and client requirements.
  8. Team player, able to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements
  1. Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Canadian Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.
  2. Travel requirements are 0-20% based on facilitation and training requirements.
