Job Title: Support Educational Assistants

Grande Prairie Public School Division is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Support Educational Assistants.

Job Summary:

As a Support Educational Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a certified teacher to provide support to students in various educational settings. Your role will involve assisting students in optimizing their learning potential, which may include behavior management, curriculum implementation, social skills development, personal care, and physical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in various educational settings, including classrooms and special education programs.
  • Provide support with behavior management, curriculum implementation, and social skills development.
  • Assist with personal care and physical assistance as needed.
  • Work under the supervision of a certified teacher to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred.
  • Preference will be given to those with NVCI training.
  • Ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks and assist with personal care.
