Job Title: Substitute Educational Assistants

Grande Prairie Public School Division is seeking qualified individuals to fill the role of Substitute Educational Assistants.

Job Summary:

As a Substitute Educational Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a certified teacher to support students in optimizing their learning potential within various educational settings. Your responsibilities will include behavior management, curriculum implementation, social skills development, personal care, and physical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in achieving their academic and personal goals
  • Support teachers in planning and implementing educational programs
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs
  • Assist with behavior management and crisis intervention
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Education Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Experience working with children in an organized setting preferred
  • Preference given to those with NVCI training
  • Ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks and assist with personal care
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.29 plus vacation pay. As a casual employee, you will have the opportunity to work in various educational settings and gain valuable experience working with students of diverse needs.
