Job Title: Project Consultant - LINC

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Consultant to join our team in Regina.

Job Summary:

The Project Consultant, LINC will provide guidance and oversight to the LINC faculty and staff, supporting English language learners to achieve success. The LINC program's primary focus is to teach English language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) to adult permanent residents within the province of Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective communication and support with faculty, staff, learners, and management.
  • Lead professional development planning.
  • Support the daily operations of LINC.
  • Act as a first point of contact for learners with concerns/complaints.
  • Participate in leading and supporting learner orientation initiatives to ensure consistent learner onboarding experiences.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives within the Training Solutions team and more broadly the Centre for Continuing Education.
  • Champion and model diversity to support an inclusive environment.
Requirements:
  • A four-year degree in English, Education, Communications, TESOL, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An adult English as a Second Language or Foreign Language teaching certificate recognized by TESL Canada.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in planning, developing, implementing, and leading English language programming to adult learners.
  • Experience implementing and monitoring Portfolio Based Learning Assessment (PBLA) methodology is considered an asset.
  • Training and/or experience resolving conflict, change management, and collaborating with diverse populations.
  • Effective organizational, time management, data collecting, and participative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, flexible, self-directed, and committed to the enhancement and expansion of LINC and of the Centre for Continuing Education.
  • Strong working knowledge of Office 365, internet programs, and technology applications pertaining to ESL teaching.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
