Job Title: Live-in Caregiver for Children

DR. JOSEPH ENGLISH BUWEMBO is seeking a reliable and compassionate live-in caregiver to provide top-notch childcare for a family in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced caregiver to join our team and provide exceptional care for children in a live-in setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality childcare for children, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and supervising their daily activities.
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties, including light housekeeping, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities for children, such as games, outings, and educational programs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers to ensure seamless care and support for children.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry, ironing, and meal preparation.
  • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the family.
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • Supervise and care for children, including administering medication and providing first aid when necessary.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency test.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Medical exam.
  • Reference required.
Work Environment:

The live-in caregiver will work in a non-smoking, scent-free environment and will be required to relocate for this position.
