Nurse Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our High Acuity Burns Trauma team at Vancouver General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients with complex, acute, and chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
- Consult with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Lead by example, demonstrating expertise and leadership in nursing practice.
- Maintain and advance clinical competence through ongoing education and training.
- Participate in hospital committees and research projects as assigned.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of a recognized advanced nursing specialty program in High Acuity Nursing or two years' recent experience in a high acuity setting.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered model of care.
- Ability to assess client responses to care and respond appropriately.
- Ability to adjust to new or unexpected events, problem-solve, and set priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
