Spiritual Leader for Akali Singh Sikh Society

We are seeking a qualified Spiritual Leader to join our team at the Akali Singh Sikh Society. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (30 hours/week)
About the JobThe Spiritual Leader will be responsible for conducting religious services, supervising office and volunteer staff, and administering rites of faith such as marriages and funerals. They will also perform administrative tasks for the religious community, provide spiritual and moral guidance to members, and supervise programs of religious education.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and judgement. They should also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field
Work Setting: Religious organization
Tasks: Conduct religious services, supervise office and volunteer staff, administer rites of faith, perform administrative tasks, provide spiritual and moral guidance, supervise programs of religious education, represent the church in humanitarian endeavors, social services, and welfare activities, and provide consultation services to government and other organizations.
Supervision: 5-10 people
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, walking
Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and team player
Experience: 1-2 years
Language of Work: English
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week
