**Executive Director Position**

The Western Front Society seeks a visionary leader to oversee the organization's overall strategy and management. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for:

• Overseeing fundraising efforts and developing strategic plans for grant writing and fund development

• Collaborating with program curators to shape the organization's artistic vision

• Facilitating strategic planning and policy development

• Managing the organization's heritage building and lease agreements

• Fostering partnerships with local, national, and international arts communities

• Hiring, supervising, and mentoring staff

• Attending Board meetings and supporting the board and its committees

• Developing community engagement and networking initiatives

• Representing the Western Front Society to other cultural organizations and the public

**Ideal Candidate**

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven leadership experience at an art or cultural centre

• Excellent knowledge of contemporary art, music, and literary practices

• Ability to foster a healthy and collaborative working environment

• Experience with budget preparation, financial management, and grant writing

• Strong planning and organization skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and manage time effectively

• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills

Remuneration: $60,000-65,000 per annum, 4 weeks vacation, and a comprehensive benefit package.
