Job Title: Head Priest

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Head Priest to join the Akali Singh Sikh Society team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our religious services, supervising office and volunteer staff, and administering rites of faith such as marriages and funerals. Responsibilities:


  • Conduct religious services and provide spiritual and moral guidance to members of the Sikh faith
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our community
  • Administer rites of faith, including marriages and funerals, with sensitivity and respect
  • Perform administrative tasks for the religious community, including planning and coordinating programs
  • Represent the Akali Singh Sikh Society in humanitarian endeavors, social services, and welfare activities
  • Provide consultation services to government and other organizations, promoting the values of the Sikh faith
  • Pray and promote spirituality by delivering sermons and other talks, inspiring the community


Requirements:


  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, and judgement
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong commitment to the values of the Sikh faith
  • Permanent position, 30 hours per week, with a strong focus on work-life balance
  • English as the primary language of communication
