Job Summary

The Business Partner role involves providing HR business support to senior leaders by partnering with business leaders and consulting on all HR functional areas to drive business results.

As a key member of our team, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executives and business unit leaders, providing consultation, coaching, and guidance on all HR initiatives for assigned client groups across Canada.
  • Prioritize a sales and customer service focus while working closely with the business.
  • Offer confidential operational guidance, counsel, and support to leaders in all functional HR areas, including employee relations, performance management, employment litigation, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
  • Provide interpretation of People & Culture policies, processes, and procedures, overseeing the development and implementation of programs that improve business productivity and retention.
  • BUILD relationships with business leaders to foster ongoing and open conversation and trust.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (Recruitment, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development) to best support client groups.
  • Manage acquisition due diligence with HR Leader to ensure smooth transitions.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • Five to ten years' progressive human resources management experience, including five years' experience in employee relations.
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma with a specialization in Business Management, Business Administration, or Human Resources management; a post-graduate certificate in HR Management is preferred.
  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic and operational talent management expertise.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset.
