About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by analyzing and interpreting laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Hold a diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution
  • Work Experience
    • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical laboratory setting
  • Technical Skills
    • Be proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and software, including MEDITECH
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
    • Be able to analyze and interpret complex laboratory data
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • Be able to work effectively in a team environment
Work Environment

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. You will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyzing results, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.

Requirements
  • Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) Certification
    • Be certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
  • Language Proficiency
