About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by analyzing and interpreting laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Hold a diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution
    • Have completed a training program in medical laboratory technology
  • Work Experience
    • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical laboratory setting
    • Have experience with laboratory information systems and medical laboratory equipment
  • Technical Skills
    • Be proficient in laboratory testing and analysis
    • Have knowledge of laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
    • Be able to operate medical laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Be able to work effectively in a team environment
    • Be able to communicate complex laboratory results to healthcare professionals
Work Environment

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment. You will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting laboratory results, as well as communicating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
