Pharmacist - Distribution Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Dispensary Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing distribution pharmacy services, ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret medication orders and prescriptions, assessing their therapeutic suitability and ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members to clarify prescription details and resolve issues.
- Participate in medication use evaluation projects, implement dispensary-based medication safety initiatives, and contribute to quality control activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and resolve drug therapy problems, and achieve patient care outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Current license of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
- At least one year of related work in a hospital pharmacy, desirable.
