We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Dispensary Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing distribution pharmacy services, ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret medication orders and prescriptions, assessing their therapeutic suitability and ensuring accurate dispensing.
- Communicate with physicians, patients, and healthcare team members to resolve prescription-related issues and clarify medication information.
- Participate in medication use evaluation projects, implement dispensary-based medication safety initiatives, and contribute to quality control activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and resolve drug therapy problems, achieving patient care outcomes.
- Current license of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
- At least one year of related work experience in a hospital pharmacy, desirable.
