About the Job:

The Healthcare Professional will provide nursing care to Long-term Care patients, working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, enhancing quality of life for patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing.
  • Maintain and advance clinical competence.
  • Contribute to designated hospital committees and research projects.

This is a Casual opportunity, with hours not guaranteed and shifts at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.

Shifts will be scheduled days and nights, rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, or 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

About this location/unit:

The Slocan Community Health Centre is a residential facility attached to the 24/7 Emergency Unit and physicians' offices. Our resident-centred philosophy supports residents' choices, helps people function at their highest level, and provides the best quality of life possible.
