About the Role:

GFL Environmental is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our liquids line of business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial cleaning and maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and the industrial services shop.
  • Perform power washing and high-pressure water blasting as required to maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct line snaking, drain, and pipe inspections to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement industrial cleaning protocols for chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes.
  • Assist with vacuum truck and plant operations as needed.
  • Participate in confined space entry and rescue operations for industrial services projects.
  • Work in tight or cramped spaces, and operate equipment such as aerial boom lifts and scissor lifts.
  • Perform heavy lifting, shoveling, jack hammering, and other physically demanding tasks as required.
  • Operate a pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, and other heavy equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in industrial cleaning and maintenance, preferably in a liquids line of business.
  • Previous experience with vacuum trucks, industrial power-washing, water-blasting, or liquid waste industry operations is highly desirable.
  • Confined space entry or work at heights experience is an asset.
  • Experience working with respirators and supplied air systems is an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, as required.
  • Class G license is required.
  • Comfortable driving and maneuvering a pick-up truck and trailer unit.
