POSITION SUMMARY

The BC Housing Supervisor, Operational Administrative Support, is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the branch and commission by supervising administrative staff, managing branch-specific and commission-wide administrative processes, and providing provincial oversight to commission-wide administrative policies and processes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Considerable experience in administrative support or office management in a large/complex organization.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service, oral and written communication, presentation, consultative, consensus building, conflict resolution, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in office software applications and tools including Microsoft Office products and other resource booking software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Branch Operations:

  • Supervise administrative staff to ensure efficient operation of the branch.
  • Manage branch-specific administrative processes.

Commission-Wide Operations:

  • Provide provincial oversight to commission-wide administrative policies and processes.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health and Safety department (OHS), Security and Emergency Services (SES) to establish and execute procedures and protocols.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in leading and mentoring administrative support teams.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic, critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
