Senior Underwriter, Commercial Insurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at DGA Careers. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in reviewing and evaluating applications to determine risk and extend coverage.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize advanced analytical skills to assess intricate specialty accounts and ensure decisions align with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Prepare quotes and negotiate coverages to offer creative solutions that benefit all stakeholders.
- Partner with business units to create applicable rating worksheets and manuscript wording, while reviewing risk engineering reports to actively monitor progress and achieve goals.
- Guide and advise team members to develop a team-oriented approach and maintain positive and mutually beneficial relationships with client groups and stakeholders.
- Obtain quality of service information from distribution partners to contribute to the development and implementation of improved services.
- Seven years of experience in Commercial Underwriting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations.
- Advanced knowledge of underwriting practices, insurance products, and competitor landscape.
