We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Administrative Assistant to join our team at North Island College. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is passionate about providing exceptional administrative support.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to the Associate Director, Community and Public Affairs, as well as the North Island College Foundation. The role will involve coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and maintaining records. Additionally, the candidate will assist with budget tracking, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Director, Community and Public Affairs, including scheduling appointments, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
  • Maintain accurate records and files, both physical and electronic
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense reporting, and financial management
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and events
  • Develop and implement efficient systems and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency
Requirements
  • Two-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience
  • Over five years of senior-level administrative experience, preferably in a post-secondary institution
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, approximately 35-40 hours per week. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $33.46 - $35.54 per hour, commensurate with experience.
