Job Summary

The Financial Restructuring Group within Business Banking is a center of excellence for The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada) where the primary role is assisting financially troubled clients in the Commercial National Accounts segment. The Associate assists on the portfolio of FRG clients across Canada, working closely with product partners and external professionals to restructure credit deals and address perceived risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor with a team of experts to restructure credit deals and minimize risk.
  • Develop creative solutions to support clients during the restructuring period.
  • Assist in all aspects of analysis for files assigned by the Director or Associate Director, ensuring credit risk is properly assessed.
  • Protect the Bank's assets by managing risk monitoring systems and evaluating each Borrower's performance.
  • Monitor and control the portfolio, providing feedback to the Director on accounts outside assigned limits and conditions.
  • Assist in establishing loan pricing/fees commensurate with the risk profile of the relationship.
  • Ensure products and services are sold and operate in a compliant manner, minimizing regulatory compliance and operational risk.
  • Understand the market and industries within the portfolio to provide value-add service to clients while mitigating risk.
  • Deliver exceptional service at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Participate as a member of the FRG team, supporting a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in business or relevant professional designation, and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Credit Analyst or Account Manager in corporate/commercial banking.
  • Strong credit, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial modeling experience would be considered advantageous.
  • Dynamic professional with strong communications and organization skills.
  • Strong team player, with an ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and independently.
