Job Summary

The Director, Financial Restructuring Group is responsible for assisting financially troubled companies to restructure and remain viable, while also optimizing loan recovery and protecting the TD Brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of large classified accounts and complex loans, working closely with internal partners and external professionals.
  • Develop creative solutions to minimize risk and provide support to clients during the restructuring period.
  • Ensure credit risk is properly assessed and managed, using adequate risk monitoring systems and processes.
  • Provide timely responses to clients and manage an Associate Director and/or CSO.
  • Establish loan pricing and fees commensurate with the risk profile of the account.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with professional firms and act as a reference point for others in areas of personal expertise.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of business financial commercial credit experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance.
  • Superior client relationship skills, with the ability to listen and understand client needs and challenges.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus and interact with diverse people and groups.
  • Experience lending to large companies with complex operations and capital structures, with a strong understanding of syndicated credit agreements.
  • Ability to keep current on latest trends and generate new ideas and approaches.
