About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Business Restructuring and Turnaround Services to join our Corporate Restructuring team at BDO Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advising corporations, lenders, creditors, or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, and financial restructurings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on financial reviews, business turnarounds, and financial restructurings
  • Prepare integrated cash flow models and analyze cash flow models, projections, and business plans
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including debtors, creditors, governmental regulators, and the Courts
  • Draft and present reports and recommendations for financial institutions, C-suite executives, shareholders, and other stakeholders
  • Identify, target, and develop referral sources and assist with practice development assignments
  • Travel is required, and access to reliable transportation is necessary

Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the Restructuring field
  • CPA accounting designation is required
  • Enrolled in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) program
  • Financial modeling skills and ability to liaise well with staff and outside parties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Proven analytical and systematic problem-solving skills and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
