About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Sales Manager to join our team at B & G Village Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing staff, and implementing effective marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of sales staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their sales targets.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, consumer demand, and competitor activity, informing sales strategies and tactics.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine the range of merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring they meet customer needs and drive sales growth.
  • Price and Credit Policies: Develop and implement price and credit policies that balance customer needs with business objectives.
  • Procurement: Source and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales growth and increase brand awareness.
  • Financial Management: Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make informed decisions to optimize business performance.
  • Staffing: Determine staffing requirements and recruit, hire, and supervise staff to ensure the team is equipped to meet sales targets.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, ensuring excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a sales or retail management role.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
