Job Description

This is a leadership position responsible for key operational programs and governance structures within the Technology department at Scotiabank. The Director, Technology Operations will build effective partnerships with CIO teams across technology, business line, and corporate functions stakeholders to enable efficient technology operations.

Reporting into the Vice President, Chief Operating Officer – Technology, the Director will lead a team to identify and enable effective operational activities across Technology. This includes overseeing the Technology Productivity program, Enterprise Delivery Framework, W4 / Real Estate planning, and various other operational programs within Technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team accountable for specific operational portfolios across Technology's global footprint.
  • Develop and implement controls and metrics to measure effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement and effectiveness in achieving Technology Operations goals and desired outcomes.
  • Implement financial optimization efforts to close gaps to Technology operational budget targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in business or equivalent education and experience.
  • Significant experience managing finance, project governance, and/or operational programs in a technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior-level stakeholders in large-scale, highly complex organizations.
