Business Auditor

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Auditor to contribute to our team's success. As a Business Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our personal insurance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of business risks related to client files, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for enhanced risk management.
- Perform in-depth reviews of personal insurance operational and quality files, ensuring compliance with established workflows and processes.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff members and leaders on audit results, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting training needs.
- Collaborate with Senior Auditors, Trainers, and Leaders to develop and implement effective audit strategies and recommendations.
- Assess the quality of supporting documentation within brokerage files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Research and provide recommendations on workflow improvements, streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audit projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Review insurer audit findings and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of personal insurance experience, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- RIBO License or ability to obtain, with CAIB or CIP designation an asset.
- Proven experience in auditing operational processes to ensure effective compliance and quality, with a strong analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, with the ability to summarize audit results in clear, concise language.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and email, with experience using EPIC, an Applied Systems broker management application an asset.
