Job Title: Truck Drivers Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Drivers Supervisor to join our team at Socla Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our truck drivers and ensuring the smooth execution of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Truck Drivers: Oversee the daily activities of our truck drivers, ensuring they are aware of their schedules, routes, and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor and Improve Operations: Identify areas for improvement in our transportation operations and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Train and Develop Drivers: Provide training and coaching to our truck drivers to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are equipped to handle various situations.
  • Dispatch and Route Planning: Plan and dispatch truck routes, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Communication and Reporting: Maintain open communication with drivers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on operations and addressing any concerns or issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the transportation industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in transportation management software.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees, providing them with mentorship programs and cultural competency training.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
