Job Overview

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support to our funeral homes, including tracking customer accounts, preparing invoices, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Track and record customer payments, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Accounting: Maintain accurate accounting records, including tracking unearned revenue and preparing disbursement checks.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma: In accounting, finance, or a related business program.
  • Work experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional setting, preferably in finance or administration.
  • Technical skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and familiarity with Sage (considered a strong asset).
