About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to join the Parliament of Canada, Senate as a Strategic Financial Professional. In this role, you will provide expertise and leadership in financial management, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, costing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Providing strategic advice and guidance on financial management issues to senior management;
  • Preparing audited financial statements and performing complex financial analysis;
  • Using integrated financial management systems such as SAP, Unit4, Oracle, and reporting tools to analyze data and make recommendations;
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance financial management and client service;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you must have a university degree with a specialization in accounting, finance, and business administration, and a chartered professional accountant designation. You should also have significant experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, and providing financial advice and making recommendations to clients and senior management.

Linguistic Requirements

">

You should have English reading comprehension, written expression, and oral interaction skills at level C, as well as French reading comprehension, written expression, and oral interaction skills at level C.

Salary and Benefits

">

The estimated salary for this role is $95,519 - $120,862 per year. As a member of the Parliament of Canada, Senate team, you will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as pension and savings plans.
