Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Canada Catering Company Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and ensure seamless execution
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet quality standards
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure compliance
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient service
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and train staff
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a busy kitchen
