The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing high-quality cooked foods, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts, following recipes and product directions.
- Ensure accurate food preparation, portion control, and presentation to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards and HACCP guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- 1+ year of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in a casual dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work in a hot environment, with frequent immersion in water and exposure to sharp objects and chemicals.
