Job Description

We are seeking an ESG Risk Strategist to join our team at Desjardins. In this role, you will recommend strategies and priorities to implement industry best practices for oversight and disclosure of ESG risks.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initiatives related to the integration of ESG factors into risk management practices at Desjardins, including quality assurance and timely delivery.
  • Help develop and update policies, directives, methodologies, risk indicators and training to support your unit's strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Advise, assist and collaborate with partners from various Desjardins Group components to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives under your responsibility.
  • Help monitor ESG-related risks, particularly as they relate to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, frameworks and disclosure standards, and recommend responses.
  • Serve as an advisor and subject matter expert for Desjardins's ESG program.
  • Represent your department on relevant committees and decision-making bodies, including preparing related materials.
