We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager Credit Execution to join our Commercial Banking team in Western Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of credit underwriting professionals and playing a critical role in managing and growing our portfolio of commercial lending relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a Team of Credit Underwriters: Provide coaching and mentoring to a team of credit underwriting professionals, developing a pipeline of key talent and ensuring the team is equipped to meet the needs of our clients.
- Manage and Grow Commercial Lending Relationships: Work closely with the Commercial Banking team to manage and grow our existing portfolio of commercial lending relationships, completing assessments of existing and potential clients to determine alignment with our product offering, financing structures, and risk appetite.
- Develop and Present Credit Applications: Work with team members to develop and present credit applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk identification and mitigation.
- Manage and Monitor Loan Portfolio: Manage and monitor the loan portfolio to ensure alignment with our established parameters, working closely with Credit Risk Management to ensure the portfolio is well-managed and meets our risk criteria.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Account Representatives, back-office staff, and other cross-functional teams to ensure required conditions are met prior to funding and to provide excellent client service.
- 10+ Years of Commercial Banking Experience: Proven experience in commercial banking, with a strong understanding of credit analysis, risk management, and commercial lending.
- Leadership and Team Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of credit underwriting professionals, developing and implementing strategies to drive team performance and growth.
- Exceptional Credit Analysis and Risk Management Skills: Strong credit analysis and risk management skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
