Job Title: Senior Manager Credit Execution

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Credit Execution to join our Commercial Banking team in Western Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of credit underwriting professionals and playing a critical role in growing our portfolio of clients throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of credit underwriting professionals and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Work closely with Commercial Account Managers, Associate Vice Presidents, and Credit Risk Management to ensure alignment with the Bank's product offering, financing structures, and risk appetite.
  • Manage and review credit applications to ensure they meet the highest standards of financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk identification and mitigation.
  • Occasionally author credit applications for complex transactions and provide assistance to the underwriting team with the presentation of their credit applications.
  • Coordinate and lead discussions with Credit Risk Management and manage and monitor the loan portfolio to ensure alignment with the Bank's established parameters.
  • Work with Account Representatives and back-office staff to ensure required conditions are met prior to funding.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of related commercial banking experience.
  • Experience building, developing, and leading a team of high-performing credit underwriting professionals.
  • Exceptional commercial credit analysis skills and the ability to creatively problem-solve.
  • Clear, succinct, and persuasive credit writing capabilities.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to blend strong technical knowledge with sound business judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with partners at all levels.
