Seeking a highly skilled Addiction Therapist and Recovery Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team at Alberta Health Services. As an experienced professional in mental health and addiction services, you will provide high-quality, client-focused assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education, and referral services to individuals struggling with opioid dependency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs, prioritizing least intrusive and most appropriate services
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, government staff, and community stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients and their families
  • Maintain active registration under the Health Professions Act (Alberta) and adhere to regulatory requirements for restricted psychosocial interventions and activities
  • Utilize advanced computer literacy and proficiency in software applications, including Outlook, MS Office, Zoom, and Connect Care, to monitor client progress and achieve recovery goals

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic team environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Addictions or a related field, combined with coursework in addictions, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of addictions and mental illness, including risk assessment and trauma-informed care
  • Advanced computer skills, keyboarding, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and other relevant software applications
  • 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with mental health and addiction issues, preferably in counseling settings
