Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at SE Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing patient management through all stages of assessment, treatment, consultation and follow-up services to patients.

About the Role

This part-time position is located in Red Deer, Alberta. The successful candidate will be familiar working in a team environment and in delegating treatment to appropriately qualified therapy assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and functional abilities
  • Formulating goals and recommendations for patients' rehabilitation and wellness
  • Planning and implementing patient-centered, goal-directed treatment programs using Therapy Assistants
  • Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality care within AHS care guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have recent experience in managing patients in acute or long-term care rehabilitation programs. You must also hold a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and be actively registered and practicing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
