About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Pita Pit Blue Mountain. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Estimate and Manage Food and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.

Hire and Manage Food Service Staff

Hire food service staff, and manage their performance and development to ensure that they are meeting the high standards expected of our team.

Ensure Quality and Safety Standards

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and that all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Prepare Budgets and Reports

Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Address Customer Complaints

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and work to resolve any issues promptly and efficiently.

About You
  • Experience and Qualifications

You will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service role.

Leadership and Communication Skills

You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, and be able to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high standards.

Attention to Detail

You will have a high level of attention to detail, and be able to maintain accurate records and reports.

Working Conditions
  • Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced food service environment, and be able to work well under pressure.

Work Schedule

You will work a 35-hour week, and be able to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
