About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lifemark. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and clinical reasoning.
  • Provide education and training to clients on topics such as pacing, pain management, cognitive behavioral strategies, and task modification techniques to enhance their functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case conferences and case management to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Support return-to-work programs and provide guidance on workplace modifications to facilitate successful reintegration.
  • Utilize electronic charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Manage a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and adjusting to changing circumstances as needed.

Requirements
  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Acceptance of new graduates licensed.
  • 1-5 years of experience in occupational therapy, with a focus on treating clients with physical, mental health, and/or neurological conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation and supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
