Job Overview

Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Indigenous Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will play a vital role in attracting and supporting Indigenous students in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide recruitment, admissions advising, and liaison services to Indigenous prospective students
  • Build relationships with local Indigenous organizations and First Nations
  • Participate in planning and executing recruiting services and admissions advising sessions
  • Provide advice and information on admissions requirements, programs, services, and careers
  • Act as a KPU representative at internal and external recruitment and community events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of related experience in student recruitment, advising, and/or student services
  • Experience working with Indigenous peoples or in Indigenous communities and knowledge of Indigenous cultures
  • Strong preference given to candidates who identify as an individual with an Indigenous heritage
Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to represent a post-secondary institution with tact and diplomacy
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner in a demanding environment
