Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Specialist - Heavy Vehicle Operator to join our team at Johnny's Transportation Services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive heavy vehicles in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
  • Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure they are in good working condition;
  • Load and unload goods, taking care to secure them properly;
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely delivery of goods and responding promptly to any issues that may arise;
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve business objectives;
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a heavy vehicle operator, preferably with a similar company;
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record;
  • High school diploma or equivalent education;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Familiarity with transportation industry regulations and practices.
