Science North is a dynamic and busy organization with a multi-faceted operation in Sudbury, Ontario, and a thriving International Sales business. We hire people from various disciplines and employ over 300 staff in peak season.
We're Looking for a Recruitment Officer
As part of our Organizational Development team, you will help guide and support recruitment requirements across the organization. Your passion for people and exceptional interpersonal skills will make you an excellent fit for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with hiring managers, coordinate all recruitment activities related to recruiting and selecting Science North staff.
- Write job postings and post vacancies on relevant platforms.
- Screen and shortlist candidates, making recommendations to hiring managers.
- Plan and manage interview logistics, including development of interview questions and conducting reference checks.
- Maintain and implement recruitment tracking processes to manage ongoing recruitments.
- Review and recommend best practices for maximum candidate reach.
- Train hiring managers on Science North's policies and applicant tracking system.
- Update HR Management on recruitment status for all open positions.
Requirements:
- A minimum College Diploma in a related field, preferably in Human Resources.
- Two to three years' professional experience in Human Resources, including direct recruitment experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills in English (French an asset).

- A competitive salary range of $37,000-$42,000 per year.
